Pictures That Lie

I chose the picture "Fire On Ice" because I am mildly impressed by the art of great ice skating. Also the magazine cover looked rather interesting. The picture originated as two photographs of two young women ice skaters. It was manipulated by the photographer putting the images together, even though they were separate at first to make it appear that the two women were skating together. The manipulation was not harmful, it gives friendly evidence to the ice skating audience, and sheds light on the two female skaters whereabouts and what they're doing competitively.

  1. Luke, I too am mildly impressed by the art of great ice skating. I think you're right, the manipulation is pretty good, and unharmful.

  2. yeah, I definitely agree. It was amazing that they weren't even in the same room at the time yet a simple manipulation can change the whole truth of the photo.
